Bright And Cheery Yellow Rose Cottage

The Yellow Rose of Texas (Cottage #2) is painted yellow with bright white gingerbread trim. The front porch features two rocking chairs so you can enjoy the views. The living room features a wood burning fireplace built with rock from the property. It sits across from the community fire pit that has 4 Adirondack chairs and an outdoor grille.

Bring friends to stay at the nearby Cottage #3 (Shabby Chic) – you’ll have privacy and your own little spot while being near enough to enjoy time together.

Everything You Need For A Weekend Getaway in The Hill Country

Set on 100+ gorgeous acres, Yellow Rose Cottage is decorated in the farmhouse style with Joanna Gaines style touches you will love, including shiplap walls, wood floors and refurbished windows, doors, and furnishings.

Your comfort is our first priority. Cotton sheets and down comforters and pillows on the giant King size bed make for a perfect romantic getaway (hypoallergenic available on request) There is a large kitchen with brand new appliances including a full-size refrigerator with ice-maker, range, dishwasher, microwave and coffee pot. We leave coffee, filters, tea, salt, pepper, sugar.

The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, and of course plates, glasses, and silverware. We have a chicken coop and invite guests to gather eggs to enjoy cooking up a big country breakfast!

Every room in the cottage is light-filled because of the large historic wood windows. Sit back, relax and enjoy wonderful Texas Hill Country views from the bedroom and living room. The decor is farmhouse style throughout, light and bright, with painted furniture, a darling chandelier, and the bathroom sink sits set in an antique dresser.

The cabin was built in 2016, but it looks historic because architectural elements were incorporated to give the house a vintage look. The windows are divided light and purchased from a house that was being demolished in the Alamo Heights neighborhood in San Antonio. The shiplap floors are salvaged pine and over 100 years old. The vintage front door was purchased at Wimberley Trade days from one of our favorite vendors.

It’s always the perfect time to escape to the little town of Wimberley in the Texas Hill Country. Take advantage of all the fun things to do nearby including a glass blowing lesson at Wimberley Glass Works, an evening out at Gruene Hall, a romantic dinner overlooking Canyon Lake or a tour of the many local wineries and breweries nearby. The Cottages At Canyon Peaks are located on the Eastern Edge of The Texas Hill Country, 50 miles southwest of downtown Austin and 52 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.

We are within a few minutes drive in all directions to some of Texas’ most popular destinations — Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Gruene, New Braunfels, Blanco, and San Marcos.

Many of our guests choose to explore a different town each day of their trip. With our central location, you can drive 10 to 30 minutes in all directions and find something to see and do.

Enjoy shopping in one of the quaint little towns nearby during the day — Wimberley square and Gruene are both adorable towns full of shops and restaurants overlooking the river and creeks we are so blessed to have in the hill country. They both have Flea Market Weekends at least once a month.

There are also several wineries, breweries, great restaurants, art galleries, music venues (Gruene Hall, Devil’s Backbone Tavern), and more — all within a short, scenic drive away.

During warmer weather, you’ll enjoy the many local swimming holes and parks for swimming, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and boating. The Canyon Lake Marina is 10 minutes from our gate and Blue Hole in Wimberley is only 15 minutes away.
