The Shabby Chic Cottage is a vintage decorator’s dream with beautiful interiors using repurposed salvage materials and antique furnishings. The decor is “Shabby Chic” throughout, light and bright, with painted furniture, hand-crafted drawer pulls, a darling chandelier and the bathroom sink sits in an antique walnut dresser.

The cottage is painted blue with bright white trim and features a metal roof, front porch with rockers and is located across from the fire pit.

Shabby Chic Cottage is situated near Yellow Rose Cottage so this is a great place for two couples or a group.

A Truly Romantic Hill Country Cabin

You enter through a front door with oval beveled glass and walk into a light-filled room with a vaulted ceiling and shabby chic chandelier. The vintage sofa is down-filled, one of our favorite finds from Wimberley Market Days.

There is a small table for two with dining chairs that has a view out the front window and a wood-burning fireplace for those chilly Texas Hill Country nights.

The entire cottage is light-filled because of the large historic wood windows and doors.

The Cottage was built in 2016, but it looks historic because architectural elements were incorporated to give the house a vintage look. The windows are divided light and purchased from a house that was being demolished in Austin. The shiplap floors are salvaged pine and over 100 years old.

All The Comforts Of Home & More

Don’t worry about comfort – each cottage has a Lennox 2-ton air conditioner; the appliances and plumbing are all brand new, the sheets are soft cotton, and we have down comforters and pillows (let us know if you’d prefer hypo-allergenic and we will change out before you arrive).

There is a jacuzzi tub for soaking after a long day of antique shopping or visiting wineries.

Both Shabby Chic Cottage & Yellow Rose Cottage offer a slightly larger kitchen than the other two. They are all equipped with a full-size refrigerator, ice-maker, oven, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. We leave coffee and filters as well as a bottle of wine and cheese for your arrival.

The kitchen is stocked with cooking utensils, pots and pans, and of course plates, glasses, and silverware. We have a chicken coop and invite guests to take eggs any morning they’re making breakfast.

Enjoy the Scenic Views and Wildlife

The cottages are on our 100+ acre ranch, and we invite you to hike the trails and enjoy the wildlife. We live on the ranch about 1/2 mile from the cottages, so if you need anything, just call.

Our goal is to ensure our guests have a delightful experience at the Cottages at Canyon Peaks, in the heart of the Texas Hill Country!

The Cottages At Canyon Peaks are located on the Eastern Edge of The Texas Hill Country, 50 miles southwest of downtown Austin and 52 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio.

We are within a few minutes drive in all directions to some of Texas’ most popular destinations — Wimberley, Canyon Lake, Gruene, New Braunfels, Blanco, and San Marcos.

Many of our guests choose to explore a different town each day of their trip. With our central location, you can drive 10 to 30 minutes in all directions and find something to see and do.

Enjoy shopping in one of the quaint little towns nearby during the day — Wimberley square and Gruene are both adorable towns full of shops and restaurants overlooking the river and creeks we are so blessed to have in the hill country. They both have Flea Market Weekends at least once a month.

There are also several wineries, breweries, great restaurants, art galleries, music venues (Gruene Hall, Devil’s Backbone Tavern), and more — all within a short, scenic drive away.

During warmer weather, you’ll enjoy the many local swimming holes and parks for swimming, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and boating. The Canyon Lake Marina is 10 minutes from our gate and Blue Hole in Wimberley is only 15 minutes away.
